Social-Emotional Learning

Social-Emotional Learning

Social and emotional development is a key factor in youth realizing their full potential. Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) is the process through which all young people and adults acquire and apply the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to develop healthy identities, manage emotions and achieve personal and collective goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain supportive relationships, and make responsible and caring decisions.

Great Futures! Program

Great Futures! is an SEL program meant to support the social and emotional development of our Club members. It includes small-group and one-on-one sessions led by our Social-Emotional Learning staff during Club programming time.

We utilize an evidence-based curriculum to strengthen members' knowledge and skills in 5 key areas: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationships skills, and responsible decision making.

If you have questions or would like more information about our Great Futures! Program, please contact our Social Emotional Learning Specialists, Maddy Van De Hey, Morgan Benjamin-Ede, and Teagan Hughes.
