Club Plans Junction City Extension

“Attention kids of Junction City! I have some exciting news for you! On Sept. 9, the doors of the Junction City Extension of the Boys & Girls Club will open at Kennedy School.

All children in the Junction City area are welcome to attend. Activities will include an open gym, computers, mentoring/tutoring, sports tournaments, rock climbing, arts & crafts, music, and much more.

The Boys & Girls Club will be open from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday. A grand opening celebration will be held on Monday at the Junction City Park. This will be your first chance to sign up for the Club.

It will also be a big fundraiser for our Club. I will be attempting a bicycle marathon. I will try to ride 150 to 200 miles around the park. Come and help me ride for a while. There will also be many other activities for you that day. Come and pledge some money to our new Club.

At this time, I would also like to thank the organizations who have already given money to enable this Club to get its start. Also, I would like to thank all committee members who have worked tirelessly to make this Boys & Girls Club a reality.”

With the Junction City Center continuing to help its community, it's not surprising that the fundraiser for the Club was a big success. We hope the Junction City Center continue their mission of helping the youths of our communities.
