Congratulations to Shannon Raney for being the May Staff of the Month!

Shannon is our Site Coordinator at the Junction City Extension. Since stepping into this leadership role in the Fall of 2020 she has grown not only as a leader but also the membership in Junction City. She is an advocate for the youth on a daily basis, providing and leading a variety of fun activities, setting high expectations and bringing a sense of belonging to all kids who need it the most. Shannon works almost 30 hours per week on top of working part-time for the Stevens Point School District. She is an amazing staff, mentor, and big sister to the kids and we could not operate the Junction City Extension without her. Also, Shannon started out in the summer of 2020 at one of our Teen Center pop-up sites at Easlan-Weslan Park and has taken what she learns and implements an outdoor classroom for Junction City kids in the summer. She is looking to do this for the second year in a row.
