Literary Enrichment and Arts Program (LEAP)

The Literacy Enrichment & Arts Program, or LEAP for short, is our early childhood reading program. Focused primarily on 1st-3rd grade students, LEAP combines reading, both individually and in groups, with fun story-centered art projects, drama, videos, and activities to make reading fun. Different themes are used to guide LEAP activities during each session.

 Power Hour

Power Hour helps Club members ages 6-18 achieve academic success by providing homework help, tutoring and high-yield learning activities and encouraging members to become self-directed learners.

 Money Matters

Money Matters promotes financial responsibility and independence among Club members ages 13-18 by building their basic money management skills. Members learn how to manage a checking account, budget, save, and invest. They also learn about starting small businesses and paying for college.

 Club Tech

Club Tech is an ambitious, multi-year initiative that provides all Boys & Girls Clubs with state-of-the-art software; a comprehensive array of programs to help Club professionals build members’ computer skills and integrate technology in all Core Program Areas; and extensive, ongoing training for Club professionals. Most importantly, young people develop the technology skills necessary to succeed in school and the job market.

 Science Club

Doing chemistry experiments, building cars that run on rubber bands, testing which paper airplane design flies farther, or seeing whose Lego bridge can hold the most weight are just some of the cool activities kids get to do during Science Club at the Boys & Girls Club. We are constantly coming up with new, fun activities to try in this hands-on, minds-on program.

 Career Launch

This fun and exciting program prepares teens for the working world. Club teens 13-18 years old embark on a journey to explore careers, make sound educational decisions and find success in the world of work.
